This year Marin Agricultural Land Trust, Marin Organic, and Marin Farmers Markets are collaborating with Slow Food Nation in an event engaging tens of thousands of attendees to come together and learn how our everyday food choices affect our well being, our culture and the health of the planet. The event has received the support of Mayor Gavin Newsom's office and the Fort Mason Foundation. Our collective vision is to demonstrate how it is both possible, delicious, and critically important, to eat food grown close to home.

Taste of Marin 2008 is not a stand alone dinner celebration of Marin's farmers and their food this year, but rather our local agricultural bounty will be incorporated in the many restaurant events and taste halls during the four days of Slow Food Nation.
